What a few days!

It's been a while since I updated everyone but that is because Ebonie had not been sleeping, SERIOUSLY 4 nights in a row of not sleeping! She has ICU delirium and gets scared easily and randomly yells the craziest things.

-How many volunteers do I have?
-How many people do I need to cook?
-Can you carry me to the other room?
-Can we climb a mountain?
-Who has me as their princess?
-My eyes don’t close.
-The pan cat is the place no one.
-Ask Joe (our nurse) is we can we go to Princess Valley? (He says he’s)
-Who did I marry? (No one you’re still in high school)
-I have to wait to run. (Wait until we wake up at 5, remember the doctor wants you to sleep 4 hours tonight)

Ebonie has started doing physical therapy and occupational therapy separately so she can work on large motor (sitting alone and standing) and now occupational therapy to get her dexterity back. She did a great job standing up three times each day and working on being able to feed herself, hold a cup to get a drink, pull tissues out of a box and grabbing her blanket to pull up. Insane how the simplest tasks are so hard to do when you haven't used your muscles in 27 days! Also, yes you ready that right Ebonie has passed her speech therapy test and is allowed to eat limited food items and drink some liquids. Her first meal... chicken and gravy, mac n cheese, chocolate pudding and orange juice!

Ebonie is quite popular and has received so many cards from Mr. Archdeacon's newspaper article. Everyday there are visitors which has been great so I can get away for a little while. Thank you to everyone who calls, checks in, brings snacks, and has helped us.

3 months post transplant (almost)

Can anyone else believe it has been three months since Ebonie had her heart transplant! It's truly still something I have a hard time ...
