The Call

03.19.2023 - This morning was a bit rough again, they had to shock your heart, just once this time. But that didn't stop OT and PT from coming in and making you stand next to the bed again!

Most of the day you were watching basketball with Coach B and relaxing. When I came back in, I asked who won the game and you signed OK for Oklahoma. I was impressed you remembered who was playing. Later you laughed and told me you flipped off coach and he flipped you off, you actually laughed and thought it was so funny.

Nurse A started some breathing exercises, and you were adamant that they had to be done every hour! You woke up about 2 minutes after 7 and were aggravated you missed your treatment and needed to do it right away.

Dr. SA called late in the evening and let us know they had a heart, and it would be transplanted tomorrow. You were so excited you wanted to call Coach B and your twin and asked me to tell Coach L. Everyone is so excited and praying it's a perfect fit!

3 months post transplant (almost)

Can anyone else believe it has been three months since Ebonie had her heart transplant! It's truly still something I have a hard time ...
